NO. 536-C Ultrasonic Methylene Blue Accessory
For use with the No. 535-A Methylene Blue Clay Tester. The clay in production sands is distributed in a number of forms. Part of the clay can be entrapped in lumps, or in combination with the other additives. To determine the total live clay, it is necessary to break down the lumps and heavy coatings by further treatment. This can be accomplished through the use of this accessory.

Seven minutes of scrubbing reduces the lumps and heavy coatings so that all of the live clay is free to react. This is done without reactivating partially heat-damaged clay, which can occur if the sample is boiled. Reactivation would resule in a false, high reading. Includes cover, and O-ring.
