This tube uses an inflatable rubber sleeve instead of mercury to seal specimens of dried or cured sand. (Use either No. 300 Split Specimen Tube or No. 315-9 Precision Specimen Tube to make specimens.)
Used with any model permeability meter. The specimen is placed in the center of the rubber sleeve. (Weak-edged specimens use steel rings on the ends.) The rubber bulb is squeezed to inflate the sleeve, the tube positioned on the perm meter, and the test is made in the standard manner. When the test is complete the relief valve is used to release the pressure and free the specimen. Specifications: Dimensions:
