| The No. 315-9 Precision Specimen Tube is used with sand rammers and sand squeezers for compactability test and for forming AFS Standard 2-in x 2-in diameter test specimens required for other tests such as green compression, splitting strength and permeability. Meets AFS Specifications for dimensions, wall thickness and smoothness. | The No. 315-18 Master Precision Specimen Tube is used periodically in place of the No. 315-9 to determine if tube wear is affecting the strength of the specimen. Two rubber stoppers are furniched to seal the ends of the tube when not in use. One stopper is equipped with a desiccator to prevent corrosion due to moisture. | |||||||||
