| For use on the No. 400 series Universal Sand Strength Machine. This accessory is used to form and break AFS tensile core specimens. Includes a tensile grip assembly; core box assembly with plunger head, five drying plates, and long and short bracket assemblies (shown mounted). Specimen grips have long, contoured gripping surfaces, which are self-aligning. The frame is of heavy extruded aluminum to prevent flexure under high loads.
